When we opened our school in 2017, we made a commitment to serving and empowering the community of Philadelphia by teaching children and adults the confidence, leadership, and fitness skills that can only be achieved through martial arts.
We both began martial arts as young children. Through hard work and commitment, it led us to national titles, international opportunities and leadership skills that transferred off the mat to successful collegiate and workplace experiences. We offer the highest quality judo in the area and consider you a part of our family when you enter our gym.

Judo is a relatively modern Martial Art that is derived from earlier Japanese fighting styles. Judo places an emphasis on throwing opponents and subduing them via pins and locks, making it an effective self-defense form, as well as a sport that even children can participate in. The journey from White Belt to Black Belt is one of incremental learning and skill development, that students of any age and fitness level can embark on.
One of the most fun parts of martial arts training is the ability to test your skills by competing in a tournament. Tournaments are not only fun for competitors, but they also become a great social experience for parents as well!
Whether fighting or competing in forms, these awesome competitions are not only a place where our students can test their skills, but also a place where team spirit is built, fears are overcome, and character is developed. Most importantly, they are tons of fun!
